Additional Items:
Scope Class –
The ‘conventional’ rifles for HP competition use iron sights, but there is also the provision for shooters who want to use a scope sight. If you (or someone you know) would like to shoot in our matches with a scope sight, what would be fine. Matches shot with a scope would be counted in a separate category for end-of-season prizes. Similarly, if someone would like to try using a rifle what is not typical for HP competition, that would be ok too. Restrictions include: maximum of 30 caliber, and no ‘muzzle brake’ – due to noise disruption to other shooters.
New NRA rule for Rapid Fire stages –
For Seniors and Grand Seniors (those who are, or will be, age 60 or older anytime during the calendar year), it is now allowed to start the RF stages from the sitting or prone position (not required to start from standing). M1 Garands start with 2 rounds loaded, safety on, and bolt closed. Other rifle start with rifle unloaded and bolt open.
