December 2007
The Kelsey Community Christmas Party was held on December 1st. There were about 75 people in attendance and of course a visit from Santa Claus. Our annual raffle drawing was held and the three winners were:
Hall Tree Storage Bench: Debra Bartholomew, Handmade Quilt: Jane Teuber Snow Globe: Perry Shelton
A large number of door prizes were given out as well as the winnings of $83.00 from the 50/50 raffle that was held that evening. The 50/50 was won by Carol Haring, if you remember, her husband Mickey won it last year. A special thank you to everyone that took the time to help make the party a good time for all. The bridge that goes across the river on the way to Trout Creek now has one lane open most of the time. The contractor does close it off at certain times, in order to perform some of the repair work that is still needed. The construction has been going on for the past 8 months and will continue full time again when the weather breaks in the spring. Hopefully the contractor will find a way to still keep one lane open, so as not to inconvenience so many people for such a long time. Diane Rhinebeck is in an adult care home in South Kortright and will be there through the holidays. Her address is below and I'm sure she would be glad to her from her friend around the Kelsey Neighbor.
